Early diagnosis vital for improving the development of autistic children
Early detection of autism is essential to the development of these children, according to the pediatrician told Efe-Otero Carmen Arroyo, who participated in the Conference of the Autism Research Institute that opened today in Las Vegas.
“Early diagnosis is ideal,” said Arroyo-Otero, program adviser for health care in the “Johnson Center for Child Health and Development” Austin (Texas) and founder of the NGO “Puzzles of Hope” in San Antonio (Texas). “The best thing is to have a diagnosis, the sooner the better because it amounts to that we have a child (with a disorder) less severe,” he said.
Autism is a disorder usually diagnosed in early childhood. Hearing loss in adolescents may be related to exposure to smoke snuff
